It’s just over a year since I moved into my new wedding dress shop at the top of Walcot Street in Bath and I have had so much fun with window dressing. So, I thought I’d put together a little retrospective gallery of the last twelve windows which I and a few of my friends have designed and installed together. Most of them have a seasonal theme. Sometimes the display is built around the chosen wedding dress and at other times I’ve made a new dress especially for the window display.
While Little Red Riding Hood graces my November window in a handmade flowergirl dress and red velvet cape I’m starting to get excited about my Christmas window… coming soon!
Huge thanks to Amy at Wired Styling for her beautiful planting, flowers and greenery for November, December, January and June and to Tallulah Rose Flower School for the students’ fantastic installations in February and July. Nenuphar and Libelule also from the Sokuhatsu collection appear in January and July.
November, February and March feature the ‘Florence’ dress in silk crepe, silk tulle and embellished lace from my Myth and Muse collection.
December features the ‘Eve’ dress in bias cut silk crepe, silk georgette and sequin detail also from my Myth and Muse collection.
‘Orchidee’ the silk crepe backed satin and silk satin organza origami inspired creation from my Sokuhatsu collection appears in February and April.
The May display was inspired by Bath in Fashion and showcases a rather special latex wedding dress with flamboyant hats by Carrie Jenkinson.
June is a festival wedding scene with relaxed separates on the left and a short/long beaded lace dress on the right.
July features hand-printed and dyed ‘Libelule’ from my Sokuhatsu collection and ‘Genevieve’ in French lace and crepe backed satin from my Fleurs Sauvages collection.
