Fi and Giles got Married at the end of December 2010. I’ll always remember the period in the build up to the wedding as the country ground to a halt under heavy snow. Fi fought through the snow to make her final fittings just before Christmas. The crisp winter morning created a beautiful backdrop as the steam rose off the Roman Baths and the scene was captured beautifully by Albert Palmer.
Getting married in Bath, Fi knew that she wanted her dress to have a vintage feel and took a fur cape which was a family heirloom as a starting point. She chose a rich ivory crepe satin fabric for her gown which was trimmed with delicate chantilly lace around the waist and carried through into godets in the skirt. She also wore a lace bolero made in the same lace which looked gorgeous with Fi’s long satin gloves.
This beautiful wedding also appears on the fabulous blog, Love my Dress.
